Flock XR is developed by Flip Computing (www.flipcomputing.com). Flip Computing are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy outlines data collected by us, how that data is used and your data protection rights.

Flip Computing is a limited company registered in the United Kingdom and as such is subject to GDPR legislation. We have a transparent approach to work and value community, collaboration, and trust.

This policy was last updated in September 2025 by our Data Champion. Our Flip Computing Data Champion was appointed to ensure that data is handled in accordance with applicable laws.

1. Accounts & Data Storage

 Flock XR tool

The Flock XR tool does not require user accounts and does not store projects or personal data on our servers.

  • Users save and load projects locally on their own computer or mobile device.
  • No user-generated content is uploaded or shared through Flock XR.

Flock XR store

The Flock XR store does not require customer accounts to purchase products. You can choose to set up a customer account to streamline your shopping experience.

By completing a purchase on the Flock XR store, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information, including name, email, and order details, to fulfill your order and provide your digital download.

Your data will be securely transferred to our third-party services (WooCommerce, Zapier and Salesforce) solely for order processing purposes. These providers process your data only on our instructions and under GDPR-compliant agreements.

2. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a contract – to fulfill your purchases and provide digital downloads.

  • Compliance with legal obligations – for example, maintaining tax and accounting records.

  • Consent – if you opt in to receive marketing communications.

  • Legitimate interests – to improve our services using anonymized analytics data.

3. Data Retention

Order information is retained for up to 7 years as required by law for tax and accounting.

Other personal data is kept only as long as necessary to fulfill your order or provide support.

4. Communication & Online Interaction

The Flock XR tool does not provide any features for users to communicate with each other.

  • There are no chat rooms, messaging systems, or online collaboration tools within Flock XR.
  • Users cannot share or receive content through our platform.

5. Data Collection & Analytics

We collect minimal data to improve the Flock XR tool, while respecting user privacy.

  • We use Google Analytics without cookies and with anonymized IP addresses to understand usage patterns without tracking individuals.
  • No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.
  • Users can opt out of analytics via Google’s Opt-Out Tool.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Flock XR does not use 3rd party cookies for tracking or personalization.

7. International Data Transfers

Some third-party providers (such as Salesforce or Zapier) may process data outside the UK/EU.

Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Flock XR tool is designed for use by young people.

Purchases from the Flock XR store must be made by individuals over 18, or by a parent/guardian on behalf of a child.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18.

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Correct or update your information.

  • Request deletion of your personal data.
