S8 Coding 3D Worlds
The perfect follow on from S7 Coding 3D Worlds
In this unit, learners create a series of mini quest-style games that introduce them to common game mechanics. This gives them a bank of ideas to draw on when they move on to designing their own games in the stage 9.
Along the way, learners are introduced to key programming concepts including wait until, counter variables, Boolean logic, lists and procedures. Together, these ideas provide a strong foundation in programming while learners create fun, interactive 3D games.
This unit has been tried and tested in a secondary school in Worcestershire. Lessons have been designed for teachers to get started quickly with minimal editing. They are perfectly timed for real classroom environments.
Each lesson includes:
- direct-to-learner videos
